Buy Standalone or subscribe to Pro through the payment gateway, with the email address you'd like your licence issued to. Your licence is tied to your name and that address.
Your key arrives by email

Enter it, once
Standalone checks its key offline, on your own machine, and it's perpetual. Pro confirms your subscription in the background once a day after that; you just open the app.
Run the installer
The download is a single installer: ManticoreFinance-Setup.exe for Standalone, ManticoreFinancePro-Setup.exe for Pro, about 120 MB. Double-click it and follow the prompts; it installs to Program Files and adds a Start Menu shortcut.

The installer is code-signed, so Windows shows the publisher as Manticore Finance, no "unknown publisher". Because the certificate is brand new, SmartScreen may still show a one-off "Windows protected your PC" prompt on the earliest downloads while it builds reputation; if you see it, click More info, then Run anyway. It clears as more people install.
Enter your key
Start the app from the Start Menu, paste the key from your email and press Activate. Your portfolio is stored on your own machine, and both editions use the same data, so switching never loses anything. Uninstalling never deletes it.
