1. Who these terms are between
These terms apply between you (the “affiliate”) and Manticore Finance, Rozendal 8, 8000 Brugge, Belgium, enterprise number 1040.745.662 (“we”).
The program runs on Lemon Squeezy, which tracks referrals and pays commission. When you sign up you also accept Lemon Squeezy’s own affiliate terms. These terms add our program’s rules to theirs; on anything that is only between you and us, these terms apply.
2. Joining
You apply through the Lemon Squeezy sign-up on our affiliates page and tell us where you plan to share your link. We review every application by hand and may decline one without giving a reason.
There is no fee to join, no minimum number of sales and no exclusivity: you are free to promote other products, including ones that compete with ours.
3. Commission
You earn 25% of the price of each Manticore Finance Standalone licence bought through your referral link, and 25% of every payment of each Manticore Finance Pro subscription started through your referral link, for as long as that subscription runs. Commission is calculated on the price excluding VAT and after any discount. At the standard prices that is €19.75 per Standalone sale, and €2.50 per monthly or €25.00 per yearly Pro payment.
A sale counts as yours if the buyer purchases within 30 days of clicking your link, as tracked by Lemon Squeezy’s referral cookie. If a buyer clicked several affiliates’ links, the referral Lemon Squeezy records is the one that counts.
Lemon Squeezy deducts its own small affiliate fee (currently 2% of the commission) from your payouts. That fee is theirs, not ours.
4. Payouts
Commission is paid by Lemon Squeezy, not by us. Each commission is held for 30 days after the sale before it becomes payable, and Lemon Squeezy then pays out on its regular schedule once your balance reaches its minimum payout amount.
Lemon Squeezy may ask you for tax forms before paying you. You are responsible for declaring and paying any tax on the commission you earn.
5. Refunds, chargebacks and invalid sales
Buyers have a 14-day money-back guarantee. No commission is paid on an order or subscription payment that is refunded or charged back. Free Pro periods we give away (for example to earlier buyers or to affiliates) earn no commission; a later paid subscription earns commission only if it was started through your link. Because commission is held for 30 days, a refund normally just means that referral is rejected before it is paid.
If an order is refunded or charged back after its commission has already been paid, we may deduct that amount from your future commissions.
We may also reject a referral that breaks these terms: for example a self-referral, a sale made using a coupon you invented, or one brought in through paid search on our brand name.
6. Disclosure and honest promotion
You must clearly tell your audience that you earn a commission, every time you share your link, in a way they cannot miss. This is required by law in most places, including the EU, the UK, the US (FTC) and Canada (Competition Bureau and Ad Standards). A free licence from us also counts as a connection you must disclose.
Describe Manticore Finance accurately: you may use the claims on our website and your own honest experience of the app. Do not promise returns, do not present the app as investment, tax or legal advice, and do not claim features it does not have.
You are responsible for your own content and for complying with the laws that apply to it, including cookie-consent rules on your own website.
7. What is not allowed
- Bidding on “Manticore Finance”, “Manticore” or misspellings of them in paid search ads.
- Listing invented discount codes or deals, or posting on coupon and deal sites.
- Buying through your own link, or through the link of someone you are buying for.
- Sending unsolicited email or messages that mention us or carry your link (spam).
- Fake reviews, fake accounts, or anything that hides your connection to us.
- Using our name or logo in a way that suggests you are Manticore Finance, or registering domains or social accounts that use our name.
8. Free review licence
We may offer you a free licence so you can try the app before promoting it. It comes with no conditions on what you write: an honest, critical review is welcome. If you do publish anything about the app, the licence is a connection you must disclose (see section 6).
9. Our relationship
You take part as an independent business or individual, not as our employee, agent or partner. You cannot make promises or enter into agreements on our behalf.
10. Responsibility
Each of us is responsible for our own statements. You are responsible for claims you make that we did not publish, and you agree to cover our reasonable costs if someone brings a claim against us because of promotion that breaks these terms.
Apart from paying the commission you have earned, our total liability to you under the program is limited to the commission paid or payable to you in the 12 months before the claim, except where the law does not allow such a limit (for example for fraud).
11. Ending the program
You can leave at any time by removing your links and emailing us, or by leaving the program in Lemon Squeezy. We can end your participation at any time by email. Commission on valid sales made before the end date is still paid, unless we end it because you broke these terms in a way that affected those sales.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update this page and email active affiliates at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can leave before then; continuing after that date means you accept the new terms.
13. Law and contact
These terms are governed by Belgian law, and the courts of Bruges have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory protection the law of your own country gives you.
